UBUNTU SUMMER
READING PROGRAM

Our summer literacy program, UBUNTU, has been helping to improvethe literacy rates of children in Statesville for over 15 years. This year will be the fourth year it's been housed at Mosaic. This program is possible thanks to generous donors and the Duke Endowment. Each year we serve 36 students from 3 elementary schools

We serve 1,330 meals each year during the literacy program.

Students have shown statistically significant growth in reading.

The whole family is engaged during our family events.

We can't do it without the 40+ volunteers or the community support!
