Hello
I'm Pastor Bridget Thornton. I am a United Methodist Pastor who has served in churches for 12 years. I'm a proud graduate of Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I received a bachelor's degree in religion. I have a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Divinity from Portland Seminary.
I'm the wife to Kevin Thornton and together we wrangle our twin sons Lincoln and Campbell. Don't worry if you can't tell them apart they're identical. We also have two adorable and large pups.
We're new to the Statesville area. Our last church was in Key West, FL so you'll see me bundled up all the time. I have a heart for all people and want to help you connect with God's story and find your place in Mosaic.
Why Mosaic?
I'm one of 17 Emerging Community Pastors in Western North Carolina. We're all experimenting together to find the future of United Methodism.
Mosaic came about out of a desire to reach those who haven't found their place in any of the other churches in our area. We want to offer something new and different in Statesville. We're not a large church - we're lots of little things. Together God is making all of these small things into a beautiful image. Piecing it together as we follow and find our way.
While I've been the pastor of traditional churches in the past I have also recognized that that model doesn't work for a lot of people. What do you want the church to be? To do? To look like? We invite you to dream with us as we shape this new kind of church in Statesville.
